    Fierce Chick Friday
    Bianca Jagger: Style & Substance.

Born in Nicaragua in 1945, Bianca Jagger is most famously known as an award-winning social and human rights activist. She began her lifelong career of social activism at the Paris Institute of Political Studies in France where she studied political science. Over the decades, her legacy includes becoming a Goodwill ambassador, fighting for Nicaragua’s liberation and speaking at the United Nations as the only Nicaraguan to ever speak in front of the UN.

In addition to her activism, Bianca Jagger was also a prominent style icon (and BFF’s with Andy Warhol). Her classic look consisted of powerful matching suits and oversized hats, giving rise to a masculine, feminine look. She still regularly attends fashion shows-- in the front row, of course.

To this day, Bianca Jagger continues to fight for social justice. In 2005, she founded the Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation which focuses on “defending human rights, ending violence against women and girls, addressing the threat of climate change, supporting the fights of indigenous people and defending the rights of future generations.”

Our Fierce Chick Friday series is where we share stories about women who inspire us.  Be they iconic women of note, our talented and ceative collaborators, or women we know personally, they all have one thing in common.  They are epic Elegant Badasses and inspire us to live our best lives.
