IN CELEBRATION OF MOTHER'S DAY
For us here at WHITE/SPACE, the whole month of May is for Mamas. Last year we partnered with an organization called The Tender Foundation to give a portion of our May sales to assist single mothers with emergency funds. This year, in honor of Mamas everywhere, we have partnered with Daily Karma to give 10% of our sales this month to up to three organizations doing the work to help mothers and families in need all year round.
How it works: With any purchase made this month, you can choose to have us use 10% of the sale to donate to your fave of the three or equally among all of them at checkout (at no additional cost to you.) Homeless Prenatal Program
The Homeless Prenatal Program is a nationally-recognized family resource center in San Francisco that empowers homeless and low-income families, particularly mothers motivated by pregnancy and parenthood, to find within themselves the strength and confidence they need to transform their lives. They serve over 3,500 low-income and homeless families annually, providing a variety of programs and services to help families become healthy, stable and self-sufficient.
2020 Mom
2020 Mom, founded in 2011 as the California Maternal Mental Health Collaborative, is a national organization with a mission to close gaps in maternal mental health care through education, collaboration, and advocacy. Recognizing doctors alone can't fix the maternal mental health problem, 2020 Mom serves as a catalyst for policy and systems change by building nationwide partnerships with dedicated stakeholders, pursuing advocacy opportunities, providing training and tools, and promoting recommendations for hospitals, insurers and providers.
Every Mother Counts
Every Mother Counts is a global organization working to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for everyone, everywhere.
Christy Turlington Burns is a mother, advocate, and founder and CEO of the maternal health organization Every Mother Counts. Having endured a childbirth complication herself, Christy was compelled to learn more about the global maternal health tragedy that claims the lives of over 300,000 women every year. She founded Every Mother Counts to educate others and invest in programs around the world to ensure all women have access to quality maternal health care. The organization currently works with 11 grantees in eight countries including the US, Tanzania, Haiti, and Bangladesh.
